What Would You Hypothesize The Effects Of Black Light Bulbs To Be On The Tanning

The epidemiology of cutaneous malignant melanoma (CMM) has a number of facets that do not fit with sunlight and ultraviolet light as the primary etiologic agents. Indoor workers have higher incidence and mortality rates of CMM than outdoor workers; CMM occurs in body locations never exposed to sunlight; CMM incidence is increasing in spite of use of UV blocking agents and small changes in solar radiation. Installation of two new fluorescent lights in the milking parlor holding area of a Minnesota dairy farm in 2015 caused an immediate drop in milk production. This lead to measurement of body amperage in humans exposed to modern non-incandescent lighting. People exposed to old and new fluorescent lights, light emitting diodes (LED) and compact fluorescent lights (CFL) had body amperage levels above those considered carcinogenic. We hypothesize that modern electric lighting is a significant health hazard, a carcinogen, and is causing increasing CMM incidence in indoor office workers and tanning bed users. These lights generate dirty electricity (high frequency voltage transients), radio frequency (RF) radiation, and increase body amperage, all of which have been shown to be carcinogenic. This could explain the failure of ultraviolet blockers to stem the malignant melanoma pandemic. Tanning beds and non-incandescent lighting could be made safe by incorporating a grounded Faraday cage which allows passage of ultraviolet and visible light frequencies and blocks other frequencies. Modern electric lighting should be fabricated to be electrically clean.
Comparative studies can offer clues as to what properties of the human nose would support such olfactory navigation. A primary function would be stereo olfaction, or the spatial separation of paired sensors to increase the accuracy of directional orientation, similar to stereo audition (von Békésy, 1964). von Békésy's (1964) hypothesis has been supported by studies from a wide range of invertebrate and vertebrate species: honey bee (Apis mellifera) (Martin, 1965), desert ant (Cataglyphis fortis) (Steck et al., 2010), fruit fly (Drosophila melanogaster) (Borst and Heisenberg, 1982), terrestrial snail (Achatina fulica) (Chase and Croll, 1981), giant garden slug (Limax maximus) (Gelperin, 1974), blacktip shark (Carcharhinus limbatus) (Gardiner et al., 2015) and sharks in general (Gardiner and Atema, 2010), brown bullhead catfish (Ictalurus nebulosus) (Bardach et al., 1967; Johnsen and Teeter, 1980), the bifurcated tongue of snakes (Schwenk, 1994), laboratory rat (Rattus norvegicus) (Rajan et al., 2006; Khan et al., 2012), eastern American mole (Scalopus aquaticus) (Catania, 2013), domestic dog (Canis lupus familiaris) (Craven et al., 2010) and human (Porter et al., 2007). The manipulation of crossing the inputs also eliminates the ability to orient in space to odors, both in animals with antennae (Martin, 1965) and in those with nares (Catania, 2013).
Black light (long-wave UV light) can also change the color of the beads. You can purchase a small black light at many specialty or hardware stores that have a large section of light bulbs. Steve Spangler Science also sells mini-versions of them. Sometimes, high intensity lights (e.g. mercury vapor or halogen) found in gyms or along city streets emit just enough UV light to make the beads change color a little.
Suppose it were the case that some cases of Seasonal Affective Disorder proved resistant to sitting in front of a 10,000-lux lightbox for 30 minutes (the standard treatment), but would nonetheless respond if you bought 130 or so 60-watt-equivalent high-CRI LED bulbs, in a mix of 5000K and 2700K color temperatures, and strung them up over your two-bedroom apartment.
Ordinary light is a form of radiation too, just less energetic than UV. The link you gave above suggests that the blue (high-energy) component of light from LEDs can have adverse effects. Maybe incandescent lights would be better if you could still get them, could afford the power, and could stand the heat they will emit at that level of luminosity! 153554b96e
