Peter Parker is his real name, of course, and before he was bitten by the radioactive spider, he was just your average teenager going through the trials and tribulations of growing up. Alas, he was indeed bitten by that spider which caused him to gain superhuman powers and spider-like abilities.
Ever since Peter Parker got bitten by that radioactive spider and turned into the crime-fighting superhero, Spider-Man, he has had a lot of benefits to becoming an enhanced version of his former self.
But Spider-Man is able to do all of that without even batting an eye or breaking a sweat. This is because he has a superior ability to balance on things that seem impossible to balance on, such as clinging on a wall or balancing on a spider web.
For instance, his superior aiming skill. If he was not as accurate, he would not be able to swing from building to building at 100 mph safely, and he definitely would not accurately deliver blows to his enemies.
This is yet another power of Miles Morales' that Peter did not get the benefit of having himself. See, when Miles Morales was bitten by a similar radioactive spider from OsCorp, he received many of the same abilities as Peter Parker. But there was a major difference that may have happened when he was bitten.
But in the comics, Peter is the one who actually invented it. And he is not only able to launch it from his web-shooters, but he is able to use his spider-sense to track it and aim it. It comes in handy quite often for him.
For the most part, Spider-Man and Spider-Gwen are essentially the same. Both were bitten by the same radioactive spider in their respective realities, and both inherited spider-powers including strength, speed, and agility. But as comic fans know, Spider-Gwen has been shown to be even more agile than Peter Parker in certain situations.
Silk was bitten by the exact same radioactive spider that Peter Parker was bitten by in Earth-616, but she developed some different powers. One of the most powerful abilities she has is her Spider-Sense. Silk can actually see into the future, whereas other versions can only perceive imminent danger.
Miles Morales is one of the most powerful versions of Spider-Man thanks to a group of powers particular to him. While he has most of the regular spider-powers associated with other versions, he also has the ability to become invisible. He can camouflage not just himself, but his clothes as well.
After sedating Spider-Man and then burying him alive, Kraven starts impersonating the hero in an attempt to prove that he is the superior specimen. He arguably achieves this as well through his capture of Vermin; a villain that Spider-Man had only previously been able to apprehend with the assistance of Captain America. The character has returned in other forms since then, but none have quite lived up to the original.
The Inheritors are a clan of totem hunters from Earth-001 who feed from animal, human and deity totems. They capture spider deity Master Weaver on Earth-000 at the cost of the life of their matriarch because Karn hesitated to strike. Patriarch Solus orders Karn to wear a mask and exiles him until he can earn his way back. They use the Master Weaver's power to conquer Earth-001, traveling between dimensions and hunting Spider-Totem avatars because those were prophesied to overthrow them.[2]
On Earth-802, Jennix reveals that he cloned spiders to help feed his family. As Ben Reilly prepares to sacrifice himself to destroy the lab, Kaine steals Black Widow of Earth-1610's teleporter to confront the Inheritors.[11]
Karn comes to Earth-3123 to kill the spider-totem of the reality where Aunt May was bitten by a radioactive spider and became Spider-Ma'am. She surrenders herself to keep her husband and nephew from harm. Karn is turned by Spider-Girl, Spider-UK, Spider-Punk, Spider-Man: India, and Spider-Woman of Earth-807128 against the Inheritors.[13] After Black Widow of Earth-1610 and Kaine destroy the cloning facility on Earth-802, the Inheritors attack; Kaine arrives on Earth-001, transforms into a spider and impales Solus.[14]
The Spider-Men overpower the Inheritors with Karn's help. Morlun tries to attack Peter Parker of Earth-616, Peter teleports him to Earth-3145 and is rescued by Silk.[15] Following the Master Weaver's death, Karn takes its place as the Master Weaver's face resembles his own. She asks Karn if Morlun and the Inheritors will survive without Spider-Totems, and the Master Weaver says that they are feeding on mutated spiders.[16]
The Spider-Men and Master Weaver have been watching Earth-3145. Although the Inheritors are undernourished from a lack of spiders, they are collecting the heads of the Spider-Bots.[17] Spider-UK and Master Weaver learn about an Inheritor cloning engine on Earth-616. On Earth-3145, Jennix harvests the Spider-Bots' transmitters. Spider-UK advises Master Weaver to call the Web Warriors.[18]
As Jennix works to regenerate the rest of the Inheritors, the spiders suggest that Superior Octopus trigger the base's self-destruction while Spider-Gwen with her symbiote distracts them. The Inheritors are free, restricted to their current bodies. Verna searches for the crystal containing Solus' life-force. She takes Brix, Bora, and Daemos with her while Jennix rebuilds the cloning tubes. Superior Octopus and Spider-Punk suggest killing the Inheritors. Karn is confronted by Verna for siding with the Web Warriors. After he stabs her, she still feeds on him.[20]
This was the last straw for Miguel: he went to Stone and attempted to hand in his notice. Stone gave and Miguel accepted a drink which, unknown to Miguel had been laced with the highly addictive hallucinogenic drug that bonds to the victim's DNA, called Rapture. As Alchemax was sole manufacturer of the drug, Stone expected that Miguel would be forced to remain with the company. In an attempt to rid himself of the hallucinogen, Miguel decided to try the genetic procedure, which had killed Sims, on himself, as he had input his own original genetic code as a baseline. The process was sabotaged by his supervisor, Aaron Delgato, in the attempt to kill him (the incident would be covered up as an accident). Miguel survived the process; his DNA was spliced with the genes of a spider and gained several powers, though he lost his addiction to Rapture.[citation needed]
Ashley appears the \"Spider-Verse\" storyline, now called Spider-Woman, and is among the spider-powered characters that are recruited by Superior Spider-Man (Doctor Octopus' mind in Peter Parker's body) to help fight the Inheritors.[7] The name change was to make her more family-friendly.[8]
In the 2014 series \"Spider-Verse,\" the Gwen Stacy of Earth-65 is bitten by the radioactive spider instead of Peter Parker, becoming her universe's version of Spider-Woman. She is featured in her own solo series Spider-Gwen. 153554b96e
