I'm also an electric guitarist. My duties include recording, editing, programming, and mixing my own projects. I've been using the EASTWEST/QUANTUM LEAP SYMPHONIC ORCHESTRA for years and find myself relying on it for many of my productions. I originally purchased the base library and was blown away. I loved the library and looked forward to many more years of rich orchestral sounds. Then I purchased the PRO-SWS AND PRO-MIX expansion collections and was even more impressed. The quality of the library is the best I've ever heard - solid - and available in a variety of different collections for different genres. Once I set my ears on the SMPL and EDM collections, my search for the perfect orchestral library was over.
I use the SMPL, EDM and SWS collections for my electronic projects. I also use the EASTWEST/QUANTUM LEAP SYMPHONIC ORCHESTRA for the orchestral tracks on my electronic projects. I love the way the libraries sound.
I've recorded all of my live orchestral sessions using the EASTWEST/QUANTUM LEAP SYMPHONIC ORCHESTRA and my mixes using the SMPL, EDM and SWS collections. The crisp, realistic library and flexibility of the EASTWEST/QUANTUM LEAP SYMPHONIC ORCHESTRA is great for every live session. I often record sound effects with the libraries to build my own orchestral tracks. When I'm building a symphonic track for a demo or final mix, I use the sound libraries in my DAW of choice - Cubase, Logic, and now Reaper.
