Naruto Shippuden the Movie (Japanese: 劇場版 .mw-parser-output .templateruby>rt{font-feature-settings:"ruby"1;font-size:85%}.mw-parser-output .templateruby.large{font-size:250%}.mw-parser-output .templateruby.large>rt{font-size:50%}NARUTO(ナルト) 疾風伝, Hepburn: Gekijōban Naruto Shippūden) is the fourth overall in the Naruto film series and the first Naruto: Shippuden film, directed by Hajime Kamegaki and written by Junki Takegami. The movie is set after episode 32.
The film opens with a prediction that Naruto Uzumaki dies battling a monster. A funeral is held for Naruto at his home village, where others attend. Tsunade looks out at the window and ponders if everything is just decided by fate.
In its opening weekend Naruto Shippuden: The Movie came in at number six.[3] In its second week the movie dropped to number eight and stayed there in its third week.[4][5] The film grossed $13,219,807 in the box offices.[6] The home media release of the movie was also well received in Japan.[7]
The setup provided by the early trailer alluding to Naruto's death was noted to surprise the fans based on the recent airing of the second animated adaptation of the long-time popularity of the title character. UK Anime felt the film was too gruesome in general despite the ratings presented to the point he believed the younger demographic would be shocked by the violent acts such as fighters being impaled or losing a considerable amount of blood.[8] Active Anime praised the shocking story of Naruto's death and the large amount of well-animated fight scenes created across the narrative.[9] Comic Book Resources listed it as one of the best Naruto movies, citing its darker themes when compared with the previous trilogy alongside the well-choreographed fight sequences but considered it as "filler" as it has no impact in the manga's narrative, most notably due to the focus on Naruto's potential death.[10] Hobby Consolas compared the movie with the first Naruto movie due to the focus on Naruto's work as a bodyguard but more on a romantic tone due to the development Shion shows across the story. The website also praised the animation, claiming the CGI performed on the villains was well executed and soundtrack manages to improve the atmosphere.[11] Despite the dark nature of the movie, Animation Scoop felt that Pierrot managed to balance the media with comedy. Nevertheless, he also praised the handling of animation like Hobby Consolas due to how menacing are the antagonists and how well-animated are the fights.[12] UK Anime, in particular, enjoyed the fight between Rock Lee and one of Yomi's followers as the most outstanding parts of the movie, comparing it to The Ghost Army. In closing the review, UK Anime called it "entertaining enough to be a kind of popcorn movie for normal anime viewers" and "For the Naruto fans, however, it's a good, solid movie to add to your collection".[8]
The Naruto 10th Anniversary site unveiled the film and the teaser was shown along with the preview of "The Three-Tails Arrival" anime arc. The official website of the Naruto: Shippuden anime has put up the promotional video of the film.[1][2]
Carlo Santos of Anime News Network gave the film a C+ rating. In his review, he commended the film for its fluid action scenes, background art and connections to major plot points from the series but criticized the poor execution of the plot into a conventional Shōnen Jump formula with little complexion, concluding with, "If only the staff had put as much effort into the storytelling as they did for the animation, perhaps this would have come out as a more complete product."[3]
The first film in the Naruto series, Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow sees Team 7, Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura fight to protect an actress named Yukie from being captured. The film takes place after episode 101 of Naruto and highlights the family dynamic between Naruto and his teammates.
The second Naruto movie follows Naruto, Sakura, and Shikamaru as they get caught in a battle for the Stone of Gelel. The stone is a powerful mineral that can grant the user power on par with a jinchūriki [a human and a tailed beast]. The film takes place after episode 106 of Naruto.
The Land of the Sky plans to attack Konoha as an act of vengeance after their battle during the Second Great Ninja War. A boy named Amaru comes to warn the Leaf Village, and a team of Naruto, Hinata, and Sakura must work with the child. This film takes place after episode 71 of Naruto Shippuden.
Team 7 attempts to capture a ninja named Mukade, and the mission ends with Naruto and Yamato being sent 20 years into the past. Here, Naruto needs the help of the fourth Hokage and a younger Kakashi to return home. Be sure to watch this film after episode 143.
here are the three things u gotta see from this show: shadow dude vs the girl with the needlesshadow dude vs the big fan girluhh and when the teacher dude fights the water guy with a mask that was coolrest of the show sucks onj ice lolalso , the title opn this poster makes it sound like naruto the movie shippuden haha
There are individual scenes that suggest that this film series can become something more than a boring series of ninja escort missions. The big problem lies with its insistence to generic and boring conflicts revolving around two dimensional baddies who not only are boring, but fail to be even threatening. The animation is certainly much better than the last three films and the jokes are more funny and energetic, but none of that means anything when the conflicts are so boring and uninteresting.
In the case of the OVA (Original Video Animation) is more complicated. They are a kind of short films of 10 to 30 minutes (approximately) that have been coming out to complement the movies, special episodes of the anime or to celebrate a specific event related to Naruto. Not only are they more difficult to find, but they are also quite difficult to place because of how little they have to do with the plot (yes, they are pure filler). We leave you with the most recommended order, but also with their release date, in case you prefer to guide you based on it. Do not take this order as "I must see it after this chapter", but rather as "from here I can see it". There is no rush for the OVA and the good thing about them is that only the penultimate one in the following list is necessary (very important, but be careful with its title, it is a spoiler!). Said OVA is canon, you can''t miss it and we still can't explain how it was not part of the series, even if it was in Boruto and through a flashback. We leave you with them:
