I have been reading your emails over the last year. You are my hero! I hope your adventure is building toward your dreams of being a published author. I have been going to classes at my community college or Independent High School which I work at. However, I am thinking about running for class rep so I can help out the teachers more. I know this will sound totally stupid to you, but the other day I had a major epiphany. I am still thinking about it. Anyway, I have always wanted to get really good at something--writing, maybe art, or anything that I am passionate about. Well, I remember this really good friend of mine that I had in high school and God, she was one of the coolest girls I had ever known. She had a different aura about her that separate her from other people. I remember that one day I was going to be in her art class and I was in awe and completely jealous (I think) of the fact that I wasn't going to be in her class. Later on, when I picked up her brochure to apply to college I read about her. The title was ''Letters to my Children.'' I read the first few paragraphs of every letter and I was totally in awe of her writing and she was well respected and loved. I still remember thinking to myself, "I want to work with kids, teach art, so that is what I want to do.'' I don't think I have ever read anything more true than that thought. Over the last few years I have always considered myself lucky to work with children. My rationale was that I had chosen this career and this was it--which was partially true.
